A General Study of Architecture

Architecture before subject matter.

AGSA is an inquiry into primitive architecture across biological, physical, developmental, and abstract domains. Its test cases are instruments for making architecture visible.

Subject matter is instrumental; primitive architecture is primary.

Primitive framework

Six primitive glyphs form the inherited ontological language.

The Ontological Language of Possible Existence begins with six primitives and their recursive relation. They provide the compositional foundation from which later architectural studies proceed.

Six-primitive order: C → E → O → I → LoP → TM. Later developmental work makes historical recursive return explicit: C → E → O → I → LoP → TM → C′. C′ is C again, transformed by history—not a seventh primitive or a mere repetition of an unchanged starting state.

Bodies of inquiry

The architecture is tested by moving across domains.

Each body takes a different subject matter as an instrument. The aim is not to reduce one domain to another, but to expose architectural invariants, transformations, boundaries, and conditions of possible existence.

Forward research

The ladder remains open.

AGSA is recursive and developmental. Published books are rungs rather than endpoints; later inquiry can return to earlier architecture, test it under new conditions, and expose what the inherited primitives do—or do not—yet explain.
